Presentation Instructions

CVWW 2024 will include sessions for both oral and poster presentations.

Oral Presentation

Oral presentations will be given 15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for questions.

Presenters are encouraged to bring their personal laptops for their presentations. It’s important to ensure that these laptops have an HDMI port for connectivity with the provided display equipment. Alternatively, they can also use the computer that will be made available at the venue.

Poster Presentation

Presenters of posters should prepare a spotlight presentation of their work and a poster.

Poster spotlights

Authors of accepted posters will orally present their work as a 2-minute poster spotlight. For efficiency, the spotlight presentation should be submitted as a 2-minute video. During the spotlight, the author will give a presentation in person while the video is running and will have no control over the slides. There will be no Q&A session since the poster session will start immediately after the spotlights. Please follow the directions below exactly:

  • Create an audio-free video of your presentation. The video should be in MP4 format with a preferred resolution of 1280×720. This allows us to run all videos automatically from a single laptop while allowing presenters maximum freedom in content design.
  • Your video should last exactly 120 seconds. All videos will be combined into a single video that will play automatically. The presenter will have no control over the video and the next presentation will just start. If your video is longer than 120 seconds it will be truncated. If your video is not in the proper format, it will be converted as best as our automated tool will do, probably of a lower quality and possibly distorted.
  • The session chair will not be introducing each speaker, therefore, please ensure your video starts with a title slide, during which you will introduce yourself.
  • Upload your video using this link, by February 9, 2024.

Poster session

Each presenter will get one board of size 68 x 106 cm, for their poster. Presenters are advised to print their poster in A1 format (portrait orientation).
